ON YOUR MARKS

It doesn’t get more personalised than fingerprint art. DNA 11 (www.dna11.com), a New York-based company, takes a smudge of your thumb (or whichever digit you prefer) and turns it into a work of art that is literally one of a kind.

Using a high-resolution scanner, DNA11 can even combine the prints of two (wedding gift alert!) or four people for a “family portrait”.

Do the same using your lip imprint, or a graphic representation of your DNA (below). Choose your preferred colour and size to complement the decor in your favourite room. Prices start at US$190 (6,400 baht) for a 12- inch square canvas.

LOTS OF LUXE

Frequent travellers are among the hardest to shop for – how do you beat the handwoven silk scarf they bought under a stilted house in Laos? Or the bottle of sake they picked up from that darling boutique brewery in Hiroshima? If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em – send them off on their next glamorous trip with a set of Luxe City Guides (www.luxecityguides.com). Choose five of their favourite cities and assemble a Bespoke Box (US$55, or about 1,800 baht), or give them the Asia Grand Tour Box (left , US$125/4,200 baht), which includes 12 tongue-in-cheek guides written by in-the-know locals.

SCENTIMENTAL

Hark back to your Thai holiday with Jo Malone’s new fragrance, Sweet Lime and Cedar (left , £30, or about 1,780 baht, www.sweetlimeandcedar.co.uk). Echoing the five cornerstones of Thai cuisine – sweet, salty, sour, bitter and hot – the light summery fragrance blends sweet passion fruit and coconut with salty clary sage and sour kaffir lime. The recipe is topped off with the warmth of pink pepper, cardamom and ylang ylang, and the bitterness of cedar and blood orange. Available across the UK, the fragrance is set to arrive in Thailand in March 2009.

211,000 SQ FT

That’s the size of The Shoppes at Four Seasons (above and right, www.shoppesatfourseasons.com), the first all-luxury mall in Macau. More than 180 international brands including the likes of Louis Vuitton and Gucci are now open on the Cotai Strip, many of them stocking limited-edition products not available anywhere else in Asia. Also sold here is Chinese-made cashmere label Tse (pronounced “say”) and Taiwanese fashion designer Shiatzy Chen. The centre offers unique add-on services for the swish set, such as image consultants, personal shoppers and a concierge to cater to every decadent whim.

2 Word Lock
If you’re constantly forgetting the numerical combination on your suitcase then you definitely need a Word Lock (S$23.90, or about 550 baht). Choose a four-letter code and lock it in.

3 Victorinox Computer Sleeve
